Mom,

You’ve always been the one to support, love, and pray for me. When I gave up in life or wanted to run away, you’ve held me fast to my commitments. You believed in, encouraged, and loved me. You’ve encouraged me to fight the battle for just one more day. Your wisdom and love have never fallen on deaf ears and in time you became my rock.

You had a difficult road- from being a single parent returning to the workforce after a decade to multiple health problems to facing hardship at work. Yet, you always made sure I had what I needed. You taught me to be a fighter, working through adverse situations. You built a work ethic in me that means showing up and putting in my best work, regardless of personal feelings.

You prayed for things that I gave up on. When I gave up on love, you didn’t. You prayed me through those years and asked God to give me someone good. You believed he was coming even after the cut-off date that I had in mind.

Thank you for your faith in me, in giving me my wings even though it was hard for both of us. Thank you for loving me through every hard decision, every rough year. You’ve inspired me to never quit believing, trusting, or making the right choices.

Love,

Me
