The dreams worth pursuing are cyclical. They’re the ones that keep coming back, nagging at us, even when we try to push them away or abandon them. They continue to return in unguarded moments and appear in our conscious mind year after year. They are also the ones with the greatest potential for learning and growth.

We may not be clear on exactly why this dream keeps showing up. We push back because it seems impossible or we just don’t have the time or energy to work on it. However, this dream is likely part of what we know deep down we really want in life.

What if that dream that keeps occuring to you is part of what will bring you to the next level? What if this dream was who you were meant to be, do or experience?

Use these dreams to find meaning, purpose and fulfillment. The magic in them is that you will spend time doing what you love, challenging yourself to be more than you thought you could or simply honing your abilities and craft.

You’ll often find that the hours that you spend working on these dreams are the most fulfilling hours as you get lost in the pursuit. You grow and change as you pursue them.

A word of caution: These dreams are powerful, but the road to getting to them may not take the form you believe originally that it will. The road to getting to the results taking unexpected twists and turns allow you to discover different methods to getting to your end goal. You’ll tweak, experiment and learn in the process.

The result may not be what you expect either. Sometimes hitting that success point or goal has short lived elation. That’s okay. No time spent chasing our dreams or passions is wasted. Plus, you’re one step closer to what you picture as ideal. That is worth celebrating.

So, if these dreams will lead to the most true version of you and teaching life lessons, what is the harm in at least trying?
