The year was 2022. Actually,
it was the last day. I was reading
Hamlet, Prince of Robots. The
unanswered question, can robots
feel more than humans?

It was the perfect retelling of
Shakespeare’s work. Upgraded
for our generation and decade.
The premise was that Hamlet I
had been dismantled by a rival
robotics company. Hamlet’s friends
have seen him listed as “on line”.

Hamlet II goes into a dream-like
state and sees the prior robot
who informs him it was a scheme
to kill him, to be aware and
who not to punish for the action.
Hamlet seeks revenge.

He is gentle and caring, deals fairly
with Ophelia. Loves Horatio. He
becomes a hero for taking the
deathblow for another character.

It kept me wondering: could
robots feel more than humans?
The humans in the book are cold…
