Poem 11 of 30 in NaPoWriMo

Forget the expectations, the rules, the pathway.

Spend time seeking out what you love.
Choose creating art over education as major-
it’s a degree you’ll never use.
Your attempts to pay off the debt stretch to your 40s.

What is your dream life? Focus on that
Some risks are worth jumping in the fire.
They’re rarer than you think, but worth it.

There’s a lot of people with a lot of knowledge
Listen instead of thinking you’re always in the right.
Also, listen to your intutition more-
your heart knows things.
If you allow yourself to unplug, you might hear them.
