Journal of Inspiration Days 22–28
Catching up on a Week of Missed Entries
I’m about a week behind on sharing my inspiration journal (100 day project). I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately. Brain fog and minor depressive symptoms. It doesn’t make much sense to avoid things that bring light when you feel like that. They inspire you and make you smile. Yet, when I’m feeling that way, I don’t have much energy for creating or posting. Here’s to getting back on track.
Day 22:
I recently read Love Warrior, a memoir by Glennon Doyle Melton.
I found her character very relatable. Who of us has not bowed at some point in our lives to peer pressure? To want to conform to the standard that society sets for us as women? Maybe our methods of dealing differ from the paths that she went down: always needing to have a man, eating disorders, abortion, etc.
However, only when we decide to break free from pressure, to accept ourselves as we are, that we find peace. It takes work to accept and love ourselves, but the work is always worth it.
Day 23:
