I’ve Been Wearing the Same Dress for 14 Days

My thoughts midway through the 30-Day Dress Challenge

Before I commit to any long-term project, I enjoy taking the idea for a spin.

If I’m going to be spending 100 days doing anything, I want to know if it’s worthwhile and attainable.

I have wanted to do the Wool& 100-Day Dress Challenge for a few years.

My mini-project? Wearing a black maxi dress from my closet for 30 days straight.

Pro: Thinking More About Slow Consumerism

  1. figuring out a cost per wear (cost of item/number of times worn) and how much joy it brought me in the past when I could say the cpw was negative.
  2. remembering how to gauge a new item based on if I would wear it 100 times (for others, 30 might seem more doable). I want to build a wardrobe where I love everything and wear it to shreds.

Con: I’m Becoming a Bit Bored

I have a limited number of pieces that will match with a maxi dress. Mostly jackets and maybe one skirt.

This is more a reflection of me maybe not choosing the right dress. A shorter dress is always easier to mix and match.
