I found this reflection both powerfully moving and brutally honest. I identify a lot with what you say here. I often call my husband my always and forever as we both take marriage as a lifelong commitment. However, my dogs are who I refer to as soulmates.

I know that I fail consistently with this love thing. I've also been disappointed more times than I can count.
