I Could Live with Owning Almost Nothing…

…but there are a few things I would miss

I subscribe to a fewer but better mindset.

Fewer clothes but better quality and more mix and match.

One car instead of two as my husband’s the driver in the family.

Not every Halloween knick-knack to display on my shelves, but a few that give me unlimited joy.

I’d rather spend my time learning and being present with my family than shopping, storing, and cleaning.

However, even in my minimalist mind, there are things I wouldn’t want to live without.

A Supply of Kickstart

Kickstart is my version of coffee. I’m hooked. Kickstart is what wakes me up, keeps me up, and keeps me moving.

My Cell Phone

Not so much for calls, but that thing has everything on it. I take my writing workshops and classes on it. I use it for background noise. Lately, I’ve been building a digital instead of a physical library.

I have done experiments before where I restricted my use to 20–30 minutes a day. It made me more present and able to prioritize what I do with it better.
