Poem 9 of 30 During NaPoWriMo

Photo by Gabriel Benois on Unsplash

Never a technology addict,

I spent the Easter during quarantine:

meeting my love’s family over zoom,

a miracle invention for my anxiety,

but a reminder, of timing.

Webcasts instead of church pews

messages instead of hugs.

Games instead of hunts.

A year unlike any other.

Struggle to remember

it’s a holiday.

Struggle to feel anything

except numbness.
