18. Can you be a cat person and a dog person?
Personally, I’m a dog person. I didn’t start out that way, but I was sold on the dog-person life very early into having my first one.
I grew up with cats in my childhood and teenage years. I remember one in particular- Rascal. He liked to sleep under my crib when I was a baby. He was always a protector and I loved him for it. Rascal lost his sight when I was a child and passed away when I was 12. It was a really hard day.
After Rascal, we had other cats. Tigger was my favorite. He was a grey and black striped cat who loved to cuddle.
We lost him soon after my aunt and uncle moved into their house. A year or so before, my aunt adopted our female cat, Angel. My uncle is deaf, so if there was an emergency or fire, Angel could wake him up.
Tigger loved Angel and showed symptoms of missing her. So we let them have Tigger too.
My uncle and aunt were in the process of doing some home renovations a few weeks later. There was bleach on the cellar floor that my uncle forgot about. I’m not sure how Tigger got a hold of it. I still miss that cat.
