Climbing Bookish Mountains

--

This year, I’m taking a challenge to limit purchasing books.

I got tired of seeing the shelves of books I’ve bought but not read. I had good intentions, but never followed through.

Yet, reading books and buying books are two different hobbies.

The books continued to sit.

So, I came up with some ground rules:

  1. I could only buy a book after reading six (how many)
  2. I came up with amounts each type of book would be worth (how much)
  3. I would attempt to climb both the Mount TBR and the Virtual Mount TBR challenges.

If you’ve never heard of the TBR Mountains- it’s a challenge created by My Reader’s Block.

The idea is to choose a mountain. Each book adds up until you read through the series of mountains to reach your goal. The books from each previous mountain carry over.
